What is the New to Loft Special?

The New to Loft Special - Any 3 classes for $49 can be used to book ANY class that sounds fun.

If you need any help selecting the best class for you, just drop us a line here and we will get in touch.

The intro pack expires in 2 weeks since we know it is important to create some momentum by taking 3 classes in 2 weeks. If you need a short extension, just ask!

It's my first time at Loft, what should I know?

We all had a first time. There is absolutely nothing to be nervous about.

Your best option is the New to Loft Special - Any 3 classes for $49.

It is important that you arrive 15 minutes before your first class so we have time to show you around and get you set up for success. Classes begin with an introduction, including proper form and technique, that is required for a safe and successful experience. For this reason first timers will not be admitted if you arrive late.

All you need to bring with you are comfortable clothes that won’t restrict movement and a water bottle. We provide all equipment and even spin shoes.

We can’t wait to put a smile on your face!

I haven’t been to group fitness class in a long time (maybe ever), where do I start?

You’re not alone. We hear this every single day. In fact, you are very likely to meet another “newbie” in class. All you have to do is book your first class - our instructors teach to all levels, providing modifications to help you build back up.

New to Spin? Our Spin 101 classes break everything down so you feel confident in any class. These run once a month. Ask at the front desk for the schedule.

Don’t worry - we will help you every step of the way.  We promise, after a few classes you will feel stronger and more confident.  If you would like to chat with our team about finding the right class, just send us a note here and we will get in touch.

It's my first time in a spin class, what can I expect?

Spin classes at Loft are high-energy, joyful workouts that are welcome to ALL levels of experience and fitness. You can expect to be both challenged and supported by our superstar instructors. The music does get loud, so we have earplugs available if you are sensitive to the volume. You can also expect some dark moments in the room.

We suggest arriving about 15 minutes before class starts so that our front desk staff can help you check in, get your shoes fitted and set up your bike for the best ride experience.

You’ve got this! There is no shame in taking breaks and just enjoying the music and energy when needed. Each time you ride it gets easier, we promise. We’ve all had a first ride!

It's my first time in a Reformer class, what do I need to know?

Reformer Pilates at Loft are a pressure-free environment for all levels. However, we recommend Reformer Foundations for beginners and anyone still getting familiar with using Reformers.

Grip socks are required for all Reformer classes. These can be purchased in-studio.

We suggest arriving about 15 minutes before class starts so that our front desk staff can help you check in, get your reformer set up.

The Reformer machine uses fully adjustable spring resistance and a sliding carriage that offers so many options. Plus it’s so much fun! You'll love the playful challenge of pushing, pulling, and gliding on these highly effective workout machines.

What are your amenities?

We have showers with free towel service, several washrooms, water coolers, free spin shoes and free wifi. We also provide all the equipment you need (even yoga mats).

What kind of shoes are required for classes?

For spin classes we use bike shoes with SPD clips. You can borrow a complimentary pair at the front desk. If you have your own, feel free to use them.

Running shoes are typically worn for strength training classes and personal training in the sculpt room, but they are not required.

All other sculpt classes are done in bare feet or grip socks.

Please review class descriptions to see what footwear is required.

CLASSES & STUDIO POLICIES

What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel classes on your account.

Late cancels or no-shows will be charged for the class/session and lose the credit. If you do not show up 5 minutes before class start time you will be charged for the class.

The cancellation windows are as follows:

  • Spin or Sculpt classes: 8 hours before the class.

  • Reformer classes: 12 hours before the class.

  • All personal training and tandem training: 24 hours before the session.

For ClassPass users, we cannot control or adjust the cancellation or no show penalties charged by ClassPass.

Do I have to book online in advance, or can I just show up?

Booking online is the best option to ensure you reserve a spot in class. It also helps keep you committed to showing up!

Walk-ins are always welcome, provided there are spots available in the class!

If I arrive late, can I still take a class?

Out of respect and safety for your fellow classmates and instructors, classes start on time.

Doors will open about 15 minutes before your class starts. Once the class has begun, any other latecomers will not be admitted in order to ensure everyone has a safe and distraction-free experience.

If you arrive late for your class, we would be happy to find a spot for you in the next class, if there are available spots.

How many people are in a class?

Our spin room can accommodate up to 30 riders with a comfortable amount of space between bikes.

Our sculpt room can accommodate approximately 10 people. Some classes have increased or decreased capacity to ensure everyone has enough space to move freely.

I’m not sure what type of exercise I want or need, what’s the best type of fitness class?

We say this all the time and will never stop repeating it, “the best workout is the one you like doing!” When it comes to fitness, commitment is key, so you want to find the classes that you’ll look forward to, not dread as a chore.

That being said, we do believe in a balanced fitness routine that builds up your cardio, strength, mobility and overall well-being. That’s why we offer a variety of classes that all offer unique benefits to compliment any fitness practice.

If you have specific fitness goals in mind and want more guidance, send us an email or chat with us in the studio and we’d be happy to let you know more about what each of our classes have to offer and how they complement one another for a balanced practice.

I have an injury, can I still take a class?

We always recommend listening to your healthcare providers first and foremost.

If you are cleared for exercise and/or are feeling confident that your healing will not be impacted, then please speak with the instructor before class begins and they will guide you.

I do not feel flexible or strong. Do I have to work up to taking a class?

Nope! That is the reason you should take a class with us.

Our team is trained to provide guidance and  modifications for ALL guests with varying capabilities in strength, endurance and flexibility. We all had to start somewhere, but once you take that first class you’ll be on your way to a healthy, happy routine.

Can my son/daughter take a class?

Yes, of course! We want to meet your mini-yous. Children under 14 must have a parent present. Parents are required to sign a waiver. The spin bikes have a minimum height of 4’10”.
